Tender Overview
South Western Railway invites bids for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning of an X-ray baggage inspection system (XBIS) conforming to MHA QR (V3) specifications. The tender is for a single or multiple units with a ₹90,000 EMD and an option to increase quantity by up to 25% during the contract period. Delivery terms include supplier responsibility for training operators and securing necessary statutory clearances. The OEM must have prior XBIS experience with Indian Railways or equivalent government clients. Unique emphasis on conformity to the QR/specification, and post-award inspection by RITES or consignee ensures quality acceptance. This procurement targets robust XBIS systems with a minimum throughput and safety certifications.
