Government Tender for Supply & Laying of 600mm Storm Water Line at Rajkot

The scope of work includes:

• Supply of 600 mm diameter NP-3 class storm water pipes as per technical specifications.
• Laying of the storm water pipeline along the designated route at Maruti 80 Feet Road, from the highway to Nadoda Nagar.
• Construction of a machine hole on the laid pipeline for maintenance access.
• Ensuring proper alignment, bedding, and jointing of pipes to meet quality standards.
• Testing and commissioning of the pipeline to ensure leak-proof operation.
• Restoration of the road surface and surrounding areas post-installation.

The process involves:

1. Site survey and preparation.
2. Delivery of pipes and materials to the site.
3. Excavation and trenching as per approved drawings.
4. Pipe laying, jointing, and connection.
5. Construction of the machine hole with appropriate reinforcement.
6. Pressure testing and quality checks.
7. Backfilling, compaction, and surface restoration.

All work must comply with the relevant municipal and environmental regulations, including safety standards and quality control measures. The contractor shall coordinate with the Rajkot Municipal Corporation's designated officials for site access and inspections.

The pipeline must adhere to the following technical parameters:

Sequence of procedures:

• Confirm site survey and prepare detailed excavation plan.
• Transport pipes and materials to the site.
• Excavate trenches as per approved drawings.
• Install pipes, ensuring proper bedding and alignment.
• Connect pipes using specified joints and sealants.
• Construct machine holes with reinforcement as per technical drawings.
• Conduct pressure tests and quality assurance checks.
• Restore surface and surroundings after completion.

All technical activities must be documented and approved by the designated engineer.

The total estimated cost for the project is ₹36,354,550. The bidding process requires bidders to submit a percentage rate quotation, which will be evaluated for competitiveness. The tender fee is ₹1,875, payable via the designated portal, and the EMD amount is ₹36,355, which must be submitted along with the technical bid. Payment terms include:

• 10% advance payment upon contract signing.
• 40% after laying 50% of the pipeline.
• 50% after successful testing and commissioning.

The remaining balance will be released after project completion and approval. All financial documents should be duly certified by a Chartered Accountant and submitted as part of the bid package.
