Rourkela Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited seeks a contractor for a Refractory Management set for RH-Degasser on trial in SUNDARGARH, ODISHA. Scope covers supply, application and maintenance of lining sets for snorkel, legs and lower vessel, with revised geometry: snorkel height 900 mm + 750 mm, lower vessel height 1550 mm. The package includes prefabricated snorkel components with argon pipe provisions and reinforced castable protection, plus gunning material for hot maintenance. A BOM submission is required; additional gunning material may be supplied free of cost to extend RH unit life. Bidder must quote supply and application separately, with taxes/duties.

Technical Specifications & Requirements

• Scope of work: supply, application & maintenance of lining sets for snorkel, legs, and lower vessel.
• Snorkel set: inlet snorkel, outlet snorkel, legs, 900 mm + 750 mm height; prefabricated with provision for argon pipes; reinforced castable protection; gunning material included.
• Lower vessel: back-up lining, working lining, filling/expansion material; cold patching mass for snorkel change; adjusted height to 1550 mm per revised drawing.
• Additional requirement: BOM submission; ensure availability of RH units; gunning material provided free of cost as per RSP decision.
• Performance guarantee: minimum of 120 heats for refractory lining of snorkel and lower vessel; exclusions for non-refractory causes.

Terms, Conditions & Eligibility

• Bidder must quote supply component and application component separately; minimum 5% value for the application component.
• RSP reserves right to reject bidders with adverse reports or bans; prior suspension or business restrictions disqualify.
• Scope includes provision for spare gunning material to extend life, delivered at no cost per decision by RSP representatives.
• Delivery and payment terms, warranty, and penalties (if any) are governed by buyer-specified ATCs and terms in annexures.
• BOM submission and revised-drawing compliance are mandatory; the tender stresses compliance with updated lower vessel dimensions and layout.
