Soil Investigation for Augmentation of water storage and distribution system
Providing access to the site,clearing site and making good to erecting and conducting soil testing transfers within the site and for any other temporary arrangements to be erected within the area in connection with conducting soil testing (03 Locations)
Mobilization of boring equipment
Mobilization of boring equipment for soil investigation and demobilization of equipment after completion of work
Setting of drilling rig
Setting of drilling rig at each bore locations
Drilling of bore hole
Drilling of Borehole, Trial pits 01 No for PH and Bore hole for UG sump-03 Nos and PH - 01 No. Boreholes will be made using rotary drilling and representative soil samples shall be collected from the boreholes at every 1m interval or change of strata. The diameter of boreholes will be 150mm as per IS-1892.The borehole shall be terminated at 15 m below Existing Ground Level (EGL) or upto Hard rock strata which is occur earlier. The following shall be carried out (i) Field investigation shall be carried out on top of the ground level of each borehole shown as a drawing. (ii) Standard Penetration test will be carried out as per IS 2131-1981 at 1m interval or change in strata. The SPT consists of driving split spoon sampler 63.5 kg hammer drop weight with free fall of 760 mm. The number of blows for every 150 mm shall be recorded for a penetration of 450 mm (a) Trial Pit 01 each and (b) Bore hole 06 each.

Determination of Chemical Properties - The soil samples be tested in the laboratory to evaluate the following a) pH b) Sulphur content c) Chloride content
Conducting Plate load test
Conducting Plate Load Test and Submission of Soil Bearing Capacity Report for proposed different site including mobilization of equipment, excavation, testing and submission of detailed geotechnical report. (a) Excavation up to required testing depth. (b) Providing all labour, hydraulic jack, reaction arrangement, loading platform, test plates, measuring gauges and accessories. (c) Recording settlement observations at various loading stages (24 hrs). Determination of (d) Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC) (e) Settlement characteristics (f) Modulus of subgrade reaction (g) Submission of detailed soil investigation and test report with recommendations for foundation design. The final report shall contain (a) Site observations (b) Test methodology (c) Load vs settlement curves (d) Safe Bearing Capacity calculations (e) Foundation recommendations (f) Settlement analysis (g) Photographs of testing
Determination of Physical and Chemical Properties
Determination of physical and chemical properties of Ground water shall include tests for pH, total hardness, etc
Determination of RL on ground level
Determination of RL of ground level/Founding level with reference to a BM using topographic survey (03 Locations)
Preparation and submission of investigation report
Preparation and submission of investigation report for suitable foundation which includes a) SBC should be worked out for following size of Isolated footing / Raft foundation. i)1.5x1.5 m ii) 1.5x2.5 m iii) 2.0x2.5 m iv)2.0x3.0 m b) Photographic record of geo exploration as well as testing. c) Recommendation as regards possibility of liquefaction of soil in case of saturated or partially saturated loose or uncompacted sandy soil. d) Swelling index and swelling pressure in respect of black cotton soil and its depth or layer. e) Depth of Ground water table(GWT) in peak mansoon(lowest) Peak summer (highest)after correlation of result with seasonal variation of water table in proposed site.lab testing, borelogs, recommendation of foundation type and bearing capacity Including vetting by any Govt Engg colleges.
