A tender has been published for The issuing authority 1Supply of Junction Boxes a)Supply of suitable industrial-grade junction boxes as per the technical specifications indicated in the bid document along with complete accessories viz, terminal blocks, Cable glands, mounting rails, ferrules, labels and any other hardware required for mounting/installation of Junction boxes. 2. Installation and Mounting of Junction Boxes a)Installation/mounting of junction boxes at the locations identified by the Engineer-in-Charge b)Providing all necessary supports, brackets, fasteners and hardware required for proper installation c)Routing and dressing of cables in an orderly and mechanically protected manner. 3. Cable Laying a)Laying of required control/instrumentation cables from the field ESP hopper high-level contact/controllers to the respective field junction boxes b)Further laying of cables from the junction boxes to the PLC system/control room termination points, as required c)Cable laying shall be carried out through existing cable trays, trenches, conduits or other approved routes wherever available d)Any minor routing/support arrangements required for cable laying shall be included in the contractor scope. 4. Cable Termination a)Termination of all cables at field devices, junction boxes and PLC-side termination points. b)Termination of all cables at field devices, junction boxes and PLC-side termination points. c)Termination of all cables at field devices, junction boxes and PLC-side termination points. 5. Interconnection and Integration a)Interconnection of the ESP hopper high-level contacts with the existing PLC system of Unit 5 &6 AHP. b)Verification of point-to-point wiring and correctness of signals at the PLC. c)Modification/provision of termination arrangements wherever required for successful integration with the existing PLC system. 6. Testing and Commissioning a)Continuity, insulation and point-to-point testing of all newly laid cables and wiring. b)Functional testing of each ESP hopper high-level contact from the field up to the PLC system. c)Rectification of any wiring, termination or communication-related defects observed during testing and commissioning. in KARNATAKA by.
