2 Boring of soil 2.Boring through all type of soil below the round level conducting standard penetration test and collection of sample upto depth of 30mtr by drilling of bore holes of dia 150mm at location as per IS 1892-1979 (Reaffirmed 2022), collecting samples of disturbed and undisturbed soil sample at 1.5mtr in interval and at every change of strata. 3 Conducting of soil tests Lab investigation from a NABL Accredited lab or Govt. Eng Colleges. Soil sample be tested in lab to evaluate the following- (a) Grain size analysis, identification and classification of soil (b) Unit weight (Bulk density), natural moisture content,liquid,plastic, shrinkage limit, plasticity index specific gravity, dry density, water absorption test (Lab test),degree of saturation of soil. c ) Differential free swelling index (percentage) and swelling pressure if expansive soil is encountered. d) Shear Parameters (C-phi Analysis) and consolidation test (for cohesive soil only) e) Chemical analysis of soil and ground water (water to be obtained from bottom of the bore hole) Depth of water table below. Field permeability of test Etc. f) Presence of loose soil if any, if weak soil with lesser N value as specified in table- 1 of IS 1893 (Part-1) 2016 is encountered then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assesses and remedial action to be adopted shall be specified. (g) Crushing strength, degree of weathering (CR Value) and RQD of rock sample (h) For open foundation, calculation of Net SBC at 1.5m,2.0m,2.5m,3.0m from shear as well as settlement criteria. SBC value shall be calculated based on C-phi analysis as well as SPT value. For calculation, formula given in IS 6403 shall be used. j) Wherever pile foundation are recommended type of pile recommended depth of pile of different diameter etc shall be specified alongwith supporting calculation. Pile capacity in compression, uplift and lateral loads shall be given. k) Recommendation regarding type of foundation to be adopted and net SBC and pile capacity to be adopted. Recommendation shall be given regarding stability of soil and soil stabilization required if any. l) Bore log details duly marked on plan and their distance from adjacent prominent ref as per Appx D of IS 1892. N value depth wise shall also be shown in bore log details. m) SPT shall be done till N value 50 or refusal whichever is earlier. 2 per borehole genskoh 60

5 Submission of documents 5.Preparation and submission of soil investigation, report which includes lab testing results and Field investing Datas bore logs etc. and safe bearing capacity of soil and pile capacity for the proposed structure Note- following will be in scope of order and must be the part of final report- (a) RL of the ground level and foundation level with ref to a BM should invariably be mentioned in the test and soil investigation report. (b) Photographic records of exploration as well as the testing shall be form the part of report. Also soil or rock samples left out after test shall be handed over to AGE B/R or Engr in-charge. (c) Recommended as regards possibility of liquidation of soil in case saturated or partially saturated loose and uncompacted sandy soil. (d) Swelling index adn swelling pressure of black cotton soil and it depth/ layer. e) Depth of ground water table (GWT) in peak monsoon and peak summer (highest) after correlation of result with seasonal variation of water table in the station. (f) Recommendation for filling under floors and improvement of existing subsoil using proper soil stabilization methods or stabilization of soil underneath foundation systems.
