Government Tender for Water Supply Civil Works: PVC Pipeline & Cistern Construction

The selected contractor will be responsible for the following:

• Supplying PVC 90 mm diameter, 6 kg/cm2 pressure pipeline materials as specified in the tender documents.
• Lowering, laying, and jointing the pipeline from the new cistern to the existing sump, ensuring leak-proof connections.
• Constructing a 1.00 lakh litre capacity concrete or RCC cistern at Kankhoi Village, adhering to technical specifications.
• Ensuring all work complies with the detailed drawings, specifications, and safety standards provided in the tender documents.
• Coordinating with the Public Health Works Division for site access and technical approvals.

Key deliverables include:

• Complete pipeline installation with pressure testing.
• Construction of the cistern with waterproofing and structural integrity.
• Submission of progress reports and compliance certificates.

The contractor must ensure timely completion within 2 months from the date of work commencement.

The pipeline must conform to IS 4984 standards for PVC pressure pipes. The pipeline should withstand a pressure of 6 kg/cm2 and be resistant to environmental conditions. The cistern should be constructed with reinforced concrete, waterproofed, and capable of holding 100,000 litres.

The process involves:

1. Material procurement as per specifications
2. Site preparation and mobilization
3. Pipeline laying with pressure testing
4. Cistern construction with waterproofing
5. Final inspection and commissioning

The estimated project cost is ₹7,28,141.03, inclusive of all materials, labor, and incidental expenses. Payment terms are as follows:

• 30% advance upon contract signing
• 50% after 50% work completion
• 20% after final inspection and approval

Bidders must submit Schedule B along with their price bids, detailing unit rates and total costs. The bid validity period is 180 days from the bid submission deadline, ensuring price stability during evaluation.
